( SPI Energy or the Company ) (NASDAQ:SPI), a global renewable energy company and provider of solar storage and electric vehicle (EV) solutions for business, residential, government, logistics and utility customers and investors, today announced its SolarJuice Co., Ltd. ( SolarJuice ) subsidiary, has entered into a contract with the Aboriginal Housing Office (AHO), a government department of New South Wales (NSW), Australia, to supply solar photovoltaic (PV) systems to up to 2,600 properties across NSW. Under the terms of the contract, SolarJuice will begin the NSW program rollout in March 2021.
The contract represents approximately 8.5 megawatts (MW) of solar PV which will be deployed over a 12-month period across residential properties under the AHO umbrella. The program is part of delivering real benefits in driving down the costs of electricity to thousands of indigenous families and communities across NS

Subscriber only More than 500 new woolly inhabitants are proving renewable and agricultural farming can operate side-by-side at UQ s Sladevale solar farm. The world-first 64 megawatt solar farm opened up its gates to sheep around Christmas with more arriving last month. The plan to use the farm as an agistment paddock had always been in the blueprint of the $125m project but Facility Manager Don Drane said he was pleased to see the vision come to life. Mr Drane said it was based off a smaller UQ Gatton solar farm that had been running sheep simultaneously for six years. There s good water, good feed and good shelter - it s sheep heaven, he said.

HENDERSON, Ky. (WFIE) - The Henderson Planning Commission is giving the green light to three rezonings as part of a larger solar farm project.
The Commission approved two requests from Tommy Tapp and one from Jeffrey and Beth Francis, all for the rezoning of property to allow for those farms to take shape.
Those rezoning approvals now move to the Henderson Fiscal Court.
